Dermaplaning is a skin rejuvenation treatment that is performed ​with the use of a specific scalpel to gently scrape away dead cells ​and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from your skin's surface. The ​sloughing goes deeper than you're able to achieve at home.

The benefits are similar to what you'd get with other exfoliating ​treatments, such as microdermabrasion or a mild chemical peel.

The procedure Brightens and evens skin tone creating a smoother ​texture, diminishing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and ​acne scars. Multiple treatments may need to be performed to ​achieve the desired results. Treatments can be performed every 2 ​to 5 wks.

Unlike other exfoliating treatment options that may irritate ​sensitive skin or cause hyperpigmentation, dermaplaning is a ​viable exfoliating option for most skin types. A chemical peel involves applying an acid solution to the face, ​which is then neutralised after a specific amount of time. This ​treatment can benefit the skin to encourage stimulation and ​repair, removing dead skin cells revealing new skin growth ​beneath.

There are 3 types of chemical peel, superficial, medium and deep.

A superficial chemical peel, also known as a light chemical peel is ​the most popular as it has no down time, a superficial peel ​removes the outermost layer of skin -epidermis. This is a ​treatment you might have every two to five weeks.

Superficial chemical peels are used to:

Improve dry skin. Smooth skin. Reduce wrinkles. Reduce ​blemishes. Reduce pigmentation. Minimise the appearance of fine ​lines. Improve age spots. Reduce acne scars.

Terms and conditions

Treatment Appointment Slots

I will ask you for a deposit to be paid at the point of booking a treatment. The remainder of the cost of treatment must be paid at the time of your appointment, delayed payments are not ​accepted. See prices for latest fees. This can be paid via bank transfer or cash (during visitation to the clinic or when treatments are performed on a mobile basis at your home). ​Unfortunately cheques are not accepted. If you are unable to pay the deposit when you first book your treatment, the appointment slot will be held for you for 24 hours, after which time it ​can be taken by other clients.

If you need to cancel your appointment, the deposit is non refundable.

If you can not attend your appointment on the day of your treatment, 48 hrs notice is required, failure to do this will result in the loss of your deposit and arranging a suitable alternative ​date.

Radiant Rescue Aesthetics will endeavour to make a suitable alternative date for your treatment, however this can not be guaranteed, providing you give at least 48 hours’ notice.

Consultation Appointment Slots

Preliminary Consultations at Radiant Rescue are free and can be done via the telephone or face to face. These appointment slots are standalone appointments (usually 20 minutes) in which ​the client and the clinician discuss treatment but none is carried out.

I do, however, take a deposit at the point of booking the Clinical assessment consultation appointment. These appointments are in-depth involving a medical review and suitability for ​treatments and must take place face to face. This can be paid via bank transfer, or cash at the radiant rescue clinic or by telephone. Unfortunately cheques are not accepted. If you are unable ​to pay this when you first book, the appointment slot will be held for you for 24 hours, after which time it can be taken by other clients.

The deposit is refundable following the clinical assessment if it proves at your appointment, your treatment choice is unsuitable for you and you do not wish to explore alternative ​treatments that may be of benefit to you.

Following your consultation, if you would like to book a treatment appointment, I will ask you for a further deposit for the treatment arranged. This will be a part payment to secure your ​products and items used for your treatment, which will be purchased prior to your treatment. The deposit will be offset against the total price of your treatment. In other words the total ​payment will be minus the deposit you have already paid.

This deposit is non refundable under any circumstance.

The above policy does not apply to model appointment slots which are subject to their own terms and conditions.

Refusal of Treatments

I reserve the right to refuse treatment where I deem it inappropriate for any reason my decision is final in this regard.

Please note that I do not provide treatments for anyone aged under 18 years. ID will be required.

Act of God

Radiant Rescue does not issue refunds for Acts of God. An Act of God is defined as an event outside of human control such as sudden floods, earthquakes or other natural disasters, for ​which no one can be held responsible. This also includes weather-related issues such as snow, ice, floods etc.

If Radiant Rescue chooses to cancel a clinic due to an Act of God then it is not liable for any loss resulting to the customer as a result of this cancelled clinic. Radiant Rescue will make all ​reasonable effort to replace a cancelled clinic by arranging an alternative date but this cannot be guaranteed. Where the majority of customers for that clinic have been affected, this will be ​made free of additional charge.

Children

My clinic has not been designed with children in mind, so I would prefer that you do not bring children to your appointment. However, if it cannot be avoided, please bring another ​responsible adult along with you to look after any children aged 12 or under.

Children are not allowed in clinic rooms at all, and cannot be left alone in any other areas of the clinic. Thank you for your understanding.

Refunds Policy

As explained on my consent form, clients will be expected to pay for additional treatment if the original treatment does not achieve the desired look. Results cannot be guaranteed and the ​treatment of side effects and complications is included in the cost of the procedure. Therefore no refunds can be given due to any of the above occurring.
